NY State Solar Hiring for Accounting Manager Job at New York, NY Full Time

NY State Solar is Growing again, and we are in search of a skilled Accounting Manager to join our team. This position will be based out of our brand-new NYC Midtown office. The right Accounting Manager candidate will be a NetSuite experienced accountant who has regularly been responsible for; accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and working with Senior Leadership on developing budgets and forecasts.

Key Responsibilities for an Accounting Manager:

· Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and taxes

· Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness

· Maintain organized system of all accounts, statements, transactions, and payments

· Assist in developing quarterly/annual budgets and forecasts

· Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
Supervise general ledger accounting function

A successful Accounting Manager will meet the below minimum requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, Finance, or related field

· 5+ Years of experience in a financial controllership role

· Extensive experience with NetSuite is a requirement

· Thorough knowledge of GAAP

· Analytical ability to outline and guide improvements to current processes

· Attention to detail and the ability to analyze large amounts of data to report to the executive team

· Advanced Excel skills

· Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and management principles

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
