Nusano Hiring for Senior Accountant Job at Remote Full Time

Position Summary:

The Senior Accountant position is a remote role that will be responsible for ensuring delivery of accurate, timely and useful financial information to the Senior Director of Finance & Administrative Operations while ensuring effective internal and financial controls. This is a hands-on position which will require that the Senior Accountant perform and control various accounting/finance functions.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly and quarterly general ledger journal entries
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Overhead and Margin Analyses, as needed
• Ensure proper internal controls are being implemented
• Create and maintain management reports that deliver valuable information for decision making, including preparation of weekly cash flow analysis
• Provide information and data as necessary to supervisor to support budgeting and financial projections and forecasts
• Responsible for A/R and A/P processing
• Evaluate and improve existing accounting and payroll policies
• Responsible for ensuring tax compliance – payroll tax, sales tax, business tax, W2 and 1099 tax forms
• Respond to internal and external audit requests promptly
• Oversee funding and reconcile to accounting reports
• Work on special projects, as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CA or CMA designation a plus
• 5-8 years of relevant accounting experience
• Standard Cost Systems (Cost Accounting) experience
• QuickBooks and ERP systems experience
• Ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines and be detailed oriented
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Able to communicate, establish rapport and work efficiently with staff of all levels of the organization

Physical Requirements:

• Work to be conducted from a home office
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Frequent use of computer with repetitive use of keyboard, mouse and manual dexterity.
