Having a student matched with someone who has a shared interest, passion or aspiration makes engagement much easier and builds rapport from a very early stage.
We are looking for people with the following skills and experience in West Yorkshire and the surrounding areas:

• Creative and flexible approach to designing education interventions

• A driver with their own transport

• At least one year’s experience working with young people with SEN or SEMH needs (We welcome applications from those practitioners who have a therapeutic background).

• The ability to build resilience in others by displaying a calm and balanced approach to challenging situations

• Good connections to their local area and communities

• Willing to get stuck in with a range of physical activities

• Confident with working remotely using a range of applications to record and report progress and update Nudge HQ

• A valid DBS on the update service

And most importantly:

• The ability to put a student’s needs first in all situations.

We primarily look for applications from those who hold or are working towards QTS or equivalent status, those who are members of the BACP/ BPS but please don’t rule yourself out if you don’t, passion and personality are also high on our list of requirements.
We also welcome interest from those who have recently completed research within education, mental health or social work fields to ensure we have a wealth of professionals and academics who can support our need to remain current in this type of work.
