Nucrete Precast Ltd. designs and manufactures infrastructure products to meet the ever changing needs of municipal and private owners. We currently specialize in producing sound barriers walls, post and panel retaining walls, RSS Wall systems, Traffic control barriers and segmental retaining wall block systems. Key Responsibilities

The Quality Control Technician works closely with the plant manager in order to conduct reviews and reports of projects, all while ensuring CSA/ACI/OPSS/MTO compliance.

• Sample, inspect, and test concrete
• Perform pre-pour inspections of products to ensure components are built to the drawing specifications
• Perform post-pour inspections to determine the quality of the finished product
• Quality checks on all materials and hardware.
• Pre and post pour, yard checking of pieces.
• Concrete testing.
• NCR reporting and follow up.
• Evidence/Paperwork submission for product accreditations.
• Complete cleaning and maintenance of form beds
• Maintain daily records of all data
• Follow all necessary health & safety directives in accordance with legislative requirements
• Ensure CSA/ACI/OPSS/MTO compliance:

Requirements

An effective Quality Control Technician at Nucrete must have the ability to:

• Understand company processes and procedures
• Prioritize and focus on the appropriate concerns
• Multi-task
• Knowledge of concrete mix designs and sieve analysis an asset
• Familiar with CSA, PCI or equivalent standards is an asset
• Experience with repair procedures
• Excellent communication skills

Successful candidates must be able to read and understand production drawings and have basic computer skills. Candidates with prior experience in quality control will be strongly considered. Certification with ACI / CCIL is required

Salary: $18.00-$27.00 per hour
