Nucleus Financial Hiring for Graduate software developer Job at Edinburgh, Scotland Full Time

We’re on the lookout for three permanent graduate software developers to join our growing technology team. Our grad developers will work their way through a rounded 12-month development pathway and will be involved in several areas across technology, from software development to testing. You’ll gain a true insight to the magic that happens behind the scenes. We also work using agile methodologies, so our grads will have the opportunity to work with some seasoned developers and testers and build knowledge of how we add big value to our customer proposition from a technology perspective, along with spending time honing your technical skills.

Following 12 months of exposure in the different technology areas, our grads will have the opportunity to specialise in a particular function. This means that the first year can be spent getting to grips with and learning the value-add of the different department functions, and your development path will ultimately be catered to you and your skill set. From a technical perspective, here are some of the things you’ll get to experience within your first year as a graduate software developer at Nucleus:

• JavaScript fundamentals (ES6 and beyond)
• React and state management libraries such as Redux
• React Native / Expo
• Unit testing with Mocha, Enzyme or equivalent frameworks
• CSS (we use styled components)
• Front and back-end build tools (Java, AWS)
• Version control (such as Git)
• GraphQL / Apollo
• Dev-ops
• Test automation
