NTN Bearing Corporation of America Hiring for Applications Engineer at California Full Time

NTN Bearing Corporation of America, located in Mt. Prospect, IL, is one of the world’s largest manufacturer of bearings. We are seeking an Applications Engineer for the Industrial IAM business unit. Industrial Aftermarket Applications Engineers are the primary technical resource for NTN customers; specifically, those customers developing, manufacturing, and marketing original equipment which utilizes products relevant to NTN.

Primary responsibilities:

• Establishing and maintaining strong professional, technical relationships with IOE customers’ engineers
• Identifying new customer projects (opportunities) and remaining engaged until successful completion
• Promoting and demonstrating NTN as a solutions provider
• Performing accurate and relevant analysis on customers’ applications, and the associated NTN products
• Compiling and presenting high-quality technical s to customers
• Providing technically-sound recommendations, while also considering NTN’s commercial needs and interests
• Clearly communicating and collaborating with other NTN Engineering groups
• Maintaining primary communication with customers and internal NTN personnel for all product quality-related matters and product-launch requirements

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (BSME) from a highly accredited institution
• 2 – 10 years’ experience in the rolling-element bearing industry, or experience with bearings while employed by an industrial, automotive, or agricultural OEM
• Ability to travel (approximately 20-25%)
• Strong technical knowledge and capabilities; ability to apply skills to analysis of customer applications and NTN products
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to both document and present findings to customers and internal NTN personnel
• The ability to utilize commercially-available and internally-developed software
• Motivated to identify tasks and action items, while driving projects to successful completion.
