EnergyCo are currently seeking to appoint a Senior Manager, Statutory ing who will play a pivotal role in supporting the Chief Financial Officer by leading external ing functions, providing high-quality financial advice, and fostering financial sustainability within the organisation.
About You
As the Senior Manager, Statutory ing at EnergyCo, your role is to support the Chief Financial Officer in overseeing the organisation’s financial accounting and compliance functions, developing the Financial Accounting team, managing the deliverables provided by the cluster shared service team, and managing the external audit process and deliverables including the preparation of financial statements, audit work paper, Treasury Returns, and technical accounting papers.
The role requires excellent stakeholder management as you will be liaising with the EnergyCo Senior Executives, the cluster CFO and cluster shared service team, NSW Treasury, external accounting advisors and external auditor. Your expertise in providing high-quality financial advice and analysis will be essential for decision-making regarding, the application of Australian Accounting Standards, staff resourcing, and operational planning.
Additionally, you will work with other members of the EnergyCo Finance team to develop and monitor multi-year financial forecasts and ensure commercial strategies aligned with EnergyCo’s business objectives.
To be successful in this role you must enjoy working in a developing and changing environment where you can respond thoughtfully, calmly and quickly to challenges and competing demands. Effective coordination with internal finance teams and external stakeholders is key for managing the ing processes and responding to audit and other parties. Managing the team’s performance and fostering their professional growth is also a crucial part of your role. Challenges will include maintaining ethical financial practices amid rapid organizational growth, innovatively addressing complex issues within regulatory frameworks, and effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders to deliver valuable advice. Your extensive experience and knowledge will allow you to lead and be an invaluable part of a high performing team.

About Us
EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of more than 14 gigawatts of new transmission capacity, coordinated with renewable energy and storage, including in five new Renewable Energy Zones (REZ).
We are responsible for the on-ground infrastructure needed to bring new renewable energy online at the scale and speed to meet our transformation objectives in the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020 and NSW Network Infrastructure Strategy.
The Office of Energy and Climate Change (OECC) was established in the Treasury Cluster in April 2022 and consists of the Energy, Climate Change & Sustainability (ECCS) and the Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo).
