About The Role
The Team Leader Natural Resource Management is an integral member of the Hunter Local Land Services Regional delivery team. The role is responsible for leading a team develop and implement natural resource management programs, plans and initiatives across the Hunter LLS region in collaboration with our key stakeholders. The role works closely with our other team leaders to contribute to excellent customer service and healthy and productive landscapes.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Acting to ensure that the impacts of environmental, social, and economic issues are considered and reflected in project outcome decisions.
- Developing and implementing programs and initiatives which comply with relevant legislation, Government, Corporate and LLS priorities.
- Engaging with and maintaining stakeholder involvement in LLS activities and sharing information between NSW Government agencies, NRM groups and the community.
- Assisting with biosecurity projects and supporting emergency management and natural disaster responses as required.
- Providing leadership in areas of emerging environmental markets and application of best practice extension approaches to securing on-ground practice change.
What You Need
- You will have tertiary qualifications in agricultural, environmental, natural resource management, biosecurity and emergency management and/or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Experience in high-quality customer service delivery within specified timeframes.
- Understanding of the needs and issues facing LLS customers and stakeholders
- Experience with leading a team of natural resource management professionals in a complex and challenging environment
- Current NSW Driver Licence and the ability and willingness to travel
