About The Business
The Soil Conservation Service (SCS) is a commercial entity within the Department of Regional NSW. We are an environmental consulting business with a focus on environmental construction in areas including: land rehabilitation, river and foreshore stabilisation, construction of fire trails and access tracks, contaminated sites, conservation earthworks & project management.
We are looking for a results-driven professional to work in a commercially focused business environment, and:
- Supervise a team delivering administrative and project support services
- Coordinate, implement and manager Procurement Panels across Soil Conservation Service
- Manage and coordinate procurement activities and act as a conduit between Soil Conservation Service and the DRNSW Procurement team.
- Provide advice, information and guidance on procurement related matters to Soil Conservation Staff.
The SCS is committed to becoming the most trusted provider of specialist end-to-end services in environmental consulting, conservation earthworks, program delivery, and project management across NSW, and the provision of consistent administration processes and focus on improving business efficiency is one of the key ways this is achieved.
To be successful you need to be someone who has proven relevant experience in a commercial environment, with accounting and/or finance experience and who can successfully lead a team to deliver high-quality business admin across the SCS.
The balance between leading, developing, and guiding people and delivering results is critical to this role – so you’ll need to be adept at combining these to be able to successfully deliver outcomes suitable for all.
