Within the Corporate Services branch of TfNSW is the Transport Shared Services (TSS) responsible to provide business support to more than 26000 customers. Additionally, TSS services over 300,000 external customers ranging from Local Government representatives to citizens. Over the last year, TSS has implemented a strategy to lead the direction of the organisation towards workforce digitisation, emphasising customer experience and growing the business’s value proposition and services.

The opportunity

Right now, we have an opportunity for a Finance Project Coordinator to join us in the Corporate Services team as a part of the wider Transport Shared Services Division. This is a 12 month fixed term full time opportunity based in Burwood however with the current COVID environment the incumbent of the role will have the option of working from home. You will be responsible for providing high level project support and coordination in relation to managerial information requirements, bank reconciliation, journal posting and stakeholder servicing.

Your Key accountabilities are:

• Coordinate and collect data for reconciliation tool implementation readiness, using qualitative and quantitative data analysis methods to interpret business data that will enable business decision making or assist in setting business priorities
• Assist in develop presentations, procedures and other information documents
• Assist in gathering and preparation of business/user requirements, including extracting, transforming standard data to provide non-standard data that meet stakeholder requirements.

About you:

You are an experienced Finance Coordinator that has experience with Reconciliations and Journals preferably in a complex organisation or another public sector department. You will have the ability to work across multiple projects whilst maintaining effective and responsive commuincations and support. Your organisation skills and ability to manage stakeholders will ensure that you are completing priorities and meeting deadlines within your work.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is Transport Grade 5 ($83,402 – $ 91,744) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
