NSW In Home Care Hiring for In Home Childhood Educator (NEWCASTLE) Job at Newcastle Full Time

The Role:

This role requires you to deliver play-based learning activities for children within their family’s home. We have educators in family placements working with children ages 0-12 years old. Multiple positions available:

Positions in:
Maryland, Newcastle:

• Working with one or two families depending on how many hours a week you’d like e.g. 6hrs-25hrs
• Mon-Fri, before and afterschool hours
• Children 9-13 years

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least a certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or be willing to work towards. Teaching degrees and higher early childhood education qualifications and similar equivalents may be acceptable.
• Current certificates for the following, or willing to attain: First Aid, CPR, Working with Children’s Check/Working with Vulnerable People, Police Check and Public Liability Insurance.
• Full vaccination status against COVID-19
• The ability to communicate positively and openly with children and their families on an ongoing basis

NSW In Home Care for Early Childhood (NSWIHC) is an approved child care provider delivering In Home Care (IHC) state-wide and in the ACT. We are a not-for-profit organisation proud to be part of local communities for over 20 years.

IHC is subsidised childcare where educators deliver early learning programs within a home environment. We have educators in family placements across NSW and the ACT working with children ages 0-12 years old.
