Remuneration: $35.22 to $36.02 per hour

Hours Per Week: 24hrs (Permanent Part time) – Casual hours depend on operational demands.

About You

• You will need to demonstrated experience providing high level administrative services.
• Sound interpersonal, communication, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to complete tasks within defined timeframes and proven capacity to manage concurrent activities of a diverse nature.
• Ability to interpret and apply policy, procedures, legislation and processes to achieve workflow outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing

The Patient Liaison role provides a service to our patients and community across 7 days, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

• Act as a point of contact with our patients and family members by providing a high level service to patients on any aspect of their election into hospital.
• Responsible for ensuring all financial election information is provided to patients on admission pertinent to the circumstances.
• Promotes the use of private health insurance and the benefits of the revenue generated by providing services and equipment for inpatient units with effective questioning techniques.
• Seek opportunities to promote and market use of entitlements from a non-charge patient to chargeable.
• Liaises with internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial eligibility in accordance with NSW Health Policies.
• Review and monitor financial classifications for billing purposes.
• Generate and review s to ensure required documentation for private health insurance has been obtained for long stay patients.
• Liaise with Visiting Medical Officers on their fees charged to patients.
• Provide education and training on Private Health Insurance eligibility to administration staff with effective questioning techniques.
• Maintain statistics and documentation for ing purposes.
