A Visiting Medical Officers is required to provide GP Procedural services in Anaesthetics at Tumut Health Service. The VMO will provide a high level of clinical care to patients and participate in the on call roster. You will possess qualifications in Anaesthetics (JCCA) for this GP Anaesthetics position.
At Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) we provide a range of public health services to the Riverina and Murray regions of New South Wales; across a geographic area of approximately 125,631 square kilometres. With around 241,000 residents living within our District, we employ approximately 4,000 staff who work within our 31 hospitals and community facilities.
Murrumbidgee Local Health District requires Visiting Medical Officers to participate in service and policy development as well as an involvement with education, training and quality projects activities. Tumut Health Service provides emergency, medical, surgical, and maternity services. Of the 34 beds, four are day surgery and four are bassinets. A full range of community health services are available including community nursing, allied health and mental health services.
