About the Team
Within the Corporate Services branch of TfNSW is the Transport Shared Services (TSS) responsible to provide business support to more than 26000 customers. Additionally TSS services over 300,000 external customers ranging from Local Government representatives to citizens.
The Opportunity
We have a temporary 18-month opportunity for Shared Services Officers (SSOs) Revenue and Receivables position available operating within Debt Recovery team.
SSOs provide high-quality and accurate processing of transactions and enquiries, ensuring issues are resolved satisfactorily, speedily and in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) whilst meeting service performance targets. For more information on each team, please see the below.
Our Debt Recovery team specialises on debt collection, dispute resolution, and credit management. As the SSO you look into assigned debt portfolio, managing dispute cases and determining right judgement. Your success will be dependent on your ability to manage effective stakeholder relationships, dispute resolution and high level resilience and problem solving.

About you:
We’re looking for customer-focused team players, experienced in Accounts Receivable/Debt Recovery and knowledge of SAP system. You will have excellent communication skills (oral and written) and take pride in your ability to build and maintain effective relationships in a professional manner, all whilst working under pressure within a complex regulatory environment.
Due to the nature of restricted access to systems within this area, you must be flexible and open to joining our team in the office depending on the volume and nature of rotating work each day/week. We support flexible working arrangements and encourage further discussions around flexible working
Salary and benefits
The salary for this position is a Grade 4 ($75,461 – 83,005) per annum, plus superannuation and leave loading.
TfNSW has flexible work arrangements for this position with the ability to WFH at the discretion of the manager.
