About the team

The Infrastructure and Place division is in the process of delivering a once-in-a generation multi-billion program of public infrastructure works which will ease congestion, improve safety, create new places and connect communities for generations to come. We are dedicated and passionate team that is proud of the work we do and the supportive and flexible team culture we have built.

The opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Project Performance team within our I&P division and provide timely and rigorous cost monitoring, analysis and forecasting to ensure sound application of cost control and accurate reporting across the relevant projects and programs within the I&P portfolio.

Working together with the project teams, you will manage and update the project cost forecasts for the current financial year and the Estimate at Completion for the project life cycle. Performing variance analysis, you will provide detailed regular and ad-hoc costs performance reports for the project performance team and the wider project team as requested.

Preparation and reviewing of monthly accruals and cost recoveries, reallocations and transfers and creating of project accruals reports will be a key part of the role.

About you

With demonstrated experience ideally in Finance and Accounting, you will have advanced Excel skills. Strong understanding of cost controlling within a fast-paced environment will be essential.

You are a self-starter who is proactive and takes the initiative to tackle problems and thrive in a complex environment. You possess strong communications skills and attention to detail, and have the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with different stakeholders.

Salary and Benefits

Grade 7 $108,770 – $121,822 per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
