The Opportunity
TAFE NSW is looking for suitability qualified, experienced and passionate subject matter expert in Accounting and Finance to join our team as a Part Time Casual Teacher. Working in the Sydney region from any of our Campus locations, you will share your industry knowledge and expertise with an engaged student cohort, joining a collaborative and engaged team, you will be driven, motivated and committed to building the skills of our students.

About You
To succeed in the role, you will need to have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Accounting and Finance Industry.

You keep abreast of current industry requirements and have a willingness to continue to obtain industry knowledge. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to share information with your students through face to face and connected learning platforms.

You will have a minimum of five years current and relevant post qualification industry experience within the last 5 years, with at least 1 years’ experience in an Australian workplace context.

To be considered for the role you will have:

• Minimum qualification of Advanced Diploma in Accounting (Australian qualification or deemed equivalent by professional body)
• Be able to demonstrate payroll experience at an advanced level,
• Be part of a recognized industry body, ideally CA, CPA or IPA.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent
• Proven computer skills to navigate complex IT learning and working knowledge of Xero and MYOB, advanced excel skills and it would be advantageous to have some HR accounting experience,
• Proven administrative skills including strong computer skills to navigate complex IT learning management systems and participate in day-to-day student administration and support software.
