The opportunity
Our Engineering and Maintenance directorate manages a $1.5 billion annual maintenance program on behalf of Sydney Trains and NSW Trains – delivering a safe, reliable passenger fleet and metropolitan rail network, to meet growing customer demand and keep Sydney moving.
Right now, we have an opportunity for an experienced Scheduler to join us in our Major Works team. Reporting to the Scheduling Manager, Engineering and Maintenance, you will be responsible for:
What you will be involved in
About you
You will have tertiary qualifications in engineering or project management within a rail or construction environment, coupled with extensive experience in Primavera scheduling. You will have sound knowledge of planning and scheduling principles and be highly organised with an ability to multi-task whilst managing a high volume of projects across a wide range of stakeholders.
You will be required to manage the delivery of engineering projects in accordance with an agreed program, using internal and external resources and produce reports so you would have a high level of literacy and strong interpersonal skills; you’ll work collaboratively within a team environment whilst also being able to work autonomously managing your own workload.
You will have extensive experience of Primavera Project Management software and having strong understanding of various reporting tools (MS Excel and others) would be an advantage.

Salary and benefits
The salary for this position is RC6 ($127,559 – 141,442) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
