Finance Officer (Purchasing Cards), 12month Temporary, Sydney

An important function within the team, you will be responsible for the administrative support of the day to day running of the purchase card process and expense management system across all GovConnect clients.

• 12 month opportunity, in the Financial Accounting team
• Clerk Grade 5/6 ($89,707-$98,982) plus employer’s contribution to superannuation
• Full-time role available in Sydney CBD

Key Accountabilities include

• System Administrator of the expense management system for the Department and all GovConnect agencies
• Administer Purchasing Card facilities and provide regular reports to ensure compliance to policy and procedures
• Provide financial accounting system and reporting support services to maintain data integrity and resolve expense management system issues
• Contribute to projects which have financial reporting implications to ensure expense management systems and reports meet business objectives
• Contribute to the development of internal controls and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial data and satisfy Departmental requirements

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to self manage and deliver outcomes to strict deadlines, including effective problem solving and trouble shooting
• Experience with Expense8 is ideal but not essential
• SAP and Excel experience for reporting purposes will be highly regarded
• Ability to put the customer first and to influence key stakeholders face to face
• Understanding of debits and credits
• Ability to interpret purchasing card and travel policies to apply

Salary Grade 5/6, with the base salary for this role starting at $89,707 base plus superannuation
