About the Director, Talent Acquisition role

The Director Talent Acquisition directs the functional and strategic delivery of Talent Acquisition, whilst leading contemporary and innovative solutions, best practice to achieves optimal outcomes for end-to-end customer service and DCJ employment brand.

The role will partner with the Business to design, develop and deliver talent pipelines for current and future job openings, implement online and offline employer branding activities, forecast hiring needs based on business growth plans and measure key recruitment metrics.

Key accountabilities of the Director, Talent Acquisition role include:

• Lead, manage and be accountable for the delivery of all Talent Acquisition services including: end-to-end best practice recruitment oversight and management, recruitment market trends analysis, EVP and talent strategy, executive search and recruitment activity, candidate management, analysis and reporting of recruitment metrics, and the performance of all other recruitment services to enable the identification, attraction and appointment of high calibre talent to DCJ.
• Implement and lead the design and execution of consistent Department wide resourcing strategies and programs by building a team of talent resourcing specialists that proactively deliver cost-effective, and timely resourcing solutions that are fit for purpose and meet customer’s needs.
• Develop, implement and improve a customer centric TA service delivery and engagement strategy working collaboratively with customer and other People partners to design and implement services and solutions.
• Engage in professional forums and other activities, maintaining networks and liaising with government agencies to keep abreast of leading talent acquisition practices, trends, and strategies so as to add value to services provided to customers within DCJ.
• Manage the design, implementation and transformation of recruitment across the organisation including cost-effective capability assessments, efficient and seamless talent acquisition process automation and integrated technology applications to comply with government and legislative requirements.

The successful applicant will have:

• Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated equivalent industry/professional experience in relevant area.
• Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012
