NSW Department of Planning and Environment Hiring for Data Analyst at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Full Time

• Located in NSW – hybrid work from home and office
• Temporary Full-time role until 30 June 2025
• Salary range is $101,850 to $112,530 plus super and leave loading

About The Role

Biodiversity Credits Supply Taskforce (the Taskforce) is seeking a Data Analyst to provide data products and ing services. This will assist the Taskforce in supporting NSW landholders and development proponents with the supply of biodiversity credits across the state.

This is an exciting opportunity to actively contribute to the NSW Biodiversity Offsets Scheme by providing data, technical advice and s to support and inform environmental regulation, environmental programs, associated policies and strategies, often within tight deadlines.

The NSW Biodiversity Offset Scheme helps conserve and enhance natural habitats while facilitating development projects, promoting ecological sustainability.

About You

You will demonstrate your specialist data knowledge and skills by providing high standards of ing, technical support and expert advice to internal, front-line operational staff, and external stakeholders.

To be successful in the role, you will also have:

• Extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft office software products for data ing
• Experience in SQL and spatial visualisation would be beneficial
• Experience with documenting data flows and metadata
• Knowledge of natural resource data and ecology would also be beneficial
