Finance Manager

• Clerk Grade 11/12, Salary ($131,094 pa – $151,609 pa), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

The program’s vision is to deliver world class customer experience and boost productivity across multiple Government Clusters, harmonising essential Government processes and services and making them easier to use, track, support, and report.

About the role

The Finance Manager is responsible for “managing the books” of the Program as well as preparing a financial forecast, and providing financial reporting to the Executive Director, Program Board, Secretaries Board, Digital Restart Fund (ISTR). The Finance Manager also assist with benefits realisation / executing the PaTH Business Case

Key responsibility for the role are:

• Manage the program forecast and budget – the financial model is managed in excel so Finance Manager must have intermediate to advanced level of excel knowledge
• Provide financial endorsement for briefing notes – by comparing the request to program funding available
• Ability to maintain a financial model with resource & vendor costs
• Deliver in-depth financial analysis – Finance manager must be comfortable with scenario modelling eg. Determine if a change has a favourable or unfavourable impact on the forecast
• Prepare monthly financial updates for the program board
• Ability to communicate complex financial analysis to a non-technical audience
• Work closely with Commercial Manager to analyse the impact of vendor change requests on the forecast
• Work closely with stream leads to determine the financial impact or resource or vendor changes
• Manage purchase order and invoice process

Essential requirements of the role

• Applied knowledge, skills and experience in business & financial analysis.
• Experience in accounting, audit, risk management or financial management
