Finance Analyst (System)

Location: Parramatta

Employment type: Temporary up to 31st January 2024

Salary: Clerk Grade 7/8, $99,431 to $110,064 pa plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role

We are looking for a motivated and self-driven Finance Analyst (System) to join our team in a temporary role for up to 31st January 2024. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Manager, Financial Accounting Systems to produce high quality analysis of related financial systems and operations that support the achievement of the organisational objectives.

You will be working across many exciting business transformation projects one of them being the NSW cluster wide migration to a single ERP solution.

What you’ll do

As part of the Systems Financial Accounting team that sits within Financial Management and Reporting and Strategic projects teams you will support the teams in the following (but not limited to):

• Prepare and implement strategic and operational finance systems including SAP, Ellipse and Pronto
• Develop necessary reviews of finance systems and finance related transformation projects
• Advise the Manager Systems Financial Accounting on financial system issues, requirements and usage
• Develop and prepare the content on the Financial Management and Reporting intranet
• Implement and monitor financial systems across Finance
• Draft business requirements to support system enhancements and provide training to stakeholders on effective usage of financial systems and reporting tools
• Support internal and external audit requirements within the financial accounting and reporting team
• Contribute to the continual improvement of financial systems and reporting tools

What we’re looking for

To be successful in this role, you will have strong data analysis skills such as:

• Excellent advanced excel skills or other data analysis tools
• Possess a curious mind to resourcefully investigate and take ownership in addressing open questions and issues to draw out valuable insights to support management decision making
• Able to clearly communicate data analysis findings to address business problems.
• Experience with SAP Finance data – how objects & transactions interrelate
• Experience in supporting or using SAP Finance solutions for business
• Strong desire to take on challenges and learn
