Remote Tutor/ Instructor (Independent Contractor)

The NOW! Programs is urgently hiring exceptional online/remote Tutors/Instructors interested in joining a dynamic, caring and dedicated team that provides cutting-edge treatment services for children and young adults with learning challenges such as dyslexia, difficulty spelling, or retaining information.

The ideal, candidate will have a passion for empowering children; may have a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Science or Speech Language (or similar), or is an educator who is excited to make a lasting difference in our clients’ lives.

The NOW! Programs’ methodology is based on the latest scientific research regarding neural plasticity (efficient, long-lasting learning). Our methodology is research- and evidence-based and peer-reviewed. Our programs address reading and spelling, comprehension, writing and math.

The demand for online tutors has exploded and the NOW! Programs is excited to add more Tutor/Instructor staff to meet that demand.

Applicants must be available at least 3 hours/day (at the same time each day) M-F, between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm Eastern.

Additionally, applicants must be interested and available for immediate and ongoing contract work.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Instruct students in a 1:1 or small group online setting using pre-designed NOW! Programs material
• Complete behavior and attention sheet for client after each session
• Update progress flow charts daily

(No need to worry about collecting payments from students. We take care of that.)

Applicants must:

• Successfully complete NOW! Programs online instructor and tech training (unpaid)
• Upon request, submit to a background check conducted by or on behalf of the Company
• Have reliable high-speed internet connection
• Possess a desktop or laptop computer in order to provide eTutoring services. Windows, Apple and Chromebook computers are all supported. (iPads, Kindles, and other tablet devises will not suffice.)
• Possess working web camera, headphones with a microphone and a mouse in order to interact with students in our online workspace. (Trackpads and touchscreens are not sufficient.)
