We are currently seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to work alongside our operational teams. As one of two HR Business Partners, supported by a wider People team based in our Head Office in Stoke on Trent, you will have the benefit of being part of a team with ambitious plans.
The role will be home based and will support offices from Scotlland through the North West, North East and North Wales, therefore a Scotland/Northern England home location would be advantageous.

Summary – HR Business Partner
You will provide strategic and operational value, support and guidance to the business line, you will be engaged upon, partnering with management and operational teams across the full HR remit including:
Workforce Planning
Succession Planning
Employee Engagement
Progressive Employee Relations including Absence Management
People Development
Main Responsibilities – HR Business Partner
Partnering with their business area to execute people plans linked to the overall business strategy and objectives
Coach and build the capability of senior managers to anticipate and pre-empt organisational issues
Support line managers in driving a performance culture through facilitating talent assessments and succession planning meetings.
Actively participates in business planning to ensure robust people plans are in place, including, talent, succession, restructures, and workforce planning.
Working alongside senior managers, identifies high potential colleagues for development, agrees development plans linked to future strategic plans and working alongside the Training Manager and line manager, identifies and ensures the delivery of development solutions
Works with senior managers to foster and promote colleague engagement at all levels by formulating structured, measurable, results focused engagement action plans
Partners with HR leads from other business areas to identify opportunities for development and progression
Responds positively and with pace to performance issues within the business area, supporting and coaching people leaders to act appropriately
Drives a consistent approach and supports and guides managers through people processes and ER cases
Identifies gaps and risk in resource and organisational structures and recommends options to address highlighted issues
Working with the Resourcing team, plan and execute appropriate recruitment campaigns to ensure the attraction of high calibre candidates, whilst supporting senior managers through the interview and offer process.
Acts as the performance improvement driver and provokes positive changes
Agrees short, medium and long-term plans for change and leads / facilitates delivery as appropriate
Partners with other areas of the business to deliver HR projects
Contributes to the development of policies and processes and proactively supports the delivery of HR policy and process into and across the business.
Skills/Experience
Understanding experience of working in a true HR Business Partnering way.
Significant employee relations experience gained within a blue collar workforce
Must be prepared to work remotely in multi-site national locations
Current Employment Law knowledge
Strong Stakeholder management skills
Talent Management and succession planning experience
Commercially astute
Date/ Evidence and Insights driven
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
