Novus Group Ltd Hiring for Roaming IT Support Technician Job at Macclesfield, England Full Time

Novus Group Ltd are seeking a proactive, self motivated Mobile IT Support Technician to join our Support Services team. The candidate will be mainly covering the Cheshire and Great Manchester areas, supplying support to predominately schools, thought some businesses also. They will be providing hardware and software support to end users. At the jobs core, the candidate will be needed to help maintain customers computer networks, printers, other peripherals and support the day-to-day running of vibrant and active schools and businesses we support.

The role will require the candidate to be able to travel sites easily and at short notice so access to transport and driving license are essential. The candidate will be required to do regular and adhoc site visits to both schools and business and cover staff sickness and absence cover. Due to the reactive nature of sickness and absence, this can be short notice, but as much notice as possible will be given.

Typically, the role will require the 1st and 2nd line technical support issues to be resolved on site, or provide remote hands to 3rd line engineers and help desk where needed. The candidate will with supported by a fully staffed offsite IT service desk to deal with more complex 3rd line support issues.

Experience working in the challenging environment of IT in schools would be valuable, with high levels of customer service, technical understanding and an ability to adapt and positively deal with high-pressure situations when they occur.

Key Skills should include but are not essential:

Knowledge of Microsoft Servers and core components.

· Basic Networking knowledge.

· DHCP, DNS

· PC diagnostic Skills

· Windows Server and Desktop operating systems.

· Knowledge of Active Directory, AAD,

· Office 365, Teams, Google Classroom

· Firewall and Filtering

· Desktop Deployment (WDS, MDT, SCCM)

· High levels of communication & service

Role will be dependent on a successful DBS

Benefits

Salary: £17,000.00 to £21,000.00 /year – Depending on experience

Mileage allowance + expenses

23 days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays

Christmas period given free

1 additional day per year after 2 years’ service up to a maximum of 26.

Monday to Friday 8 – 4 / 8:30 – 4:30 _ depending on sites
