Novus Group Ltd Hiring for IT Support Technician Job at Congleton, England Full Time

Novus Group Ltd are seeking a proactive, self motivated IT Support Technician to join our Managed Service team. The candidate will be based on a school site, providing hardware and software support to over 1000 end users. At the jobs core, the candidate will maintain the schools computer networks, printers, other peripherals, documentation and support the day-to-day running of a busy, vibrant and active school in Congleton.

Typically, the onsite role will manage the 1st and 2nd line technical support issues using a market leading ticket system, with a fully staffed offsite IT service desk to deal with more complex 3rd line support issues. The desk also acts as a resource overflow to the onsite technician to deal with periods of high volumes of calls.

Experience working in the challenging environment of IT in schools would be valuable, with high levels of customer service, strategic understanding and an ability to adapt and positively deal with high-pressure situations when they occur.

Key Skills should include but are not essential:

Knowledge of Microsoft Servers and core components.

· Basic Networking knowledge.

· DHCP, DNS

· PC diagnostic Skills

· Windows Server and Desktop operating systems.

· Knowledge of Active Directory

· Firewall and Filtering

· Desktop Deployment (WDS, MDT, SCCM)

· High levels of communication & service

Role will be dependent on a successful DBS

There are reasonable public transport links, but the ability to drive is desirable in order to access in house training, shadowing opportunities and be involved in project work outside of term time.

Benefits

Salary: £17k to £23k /year – Depending on experience

23 days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays

Christmas period given free

1 additional day per year after 2 years’ service up to a maximum of 26.
