Immediate openings available for our 12 hour Continental Shift – Non-rotating

Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Converting Supervisor and designated Shift Leads, this position is an entry level position and is responsible for operating bag machines and associated equipment in order to safely produce high-quality bags in accordance with the production schedule, set-up instructions, operating procedures, and quality specifications, etc.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

• Understand and follow all work instructions, safety procedures/policies
• Minor machine adjustments, operate bag machine(s) and support equipment to convert film into bags
• Read and verify line orders/dockets
• Understand printed job requirements by the specifications
• Load film and adjust for size
• Adjust tension on rolls
• Follow all SOP’s for department
• Perform quality checks of material being produced and complete related documentation
• Complete daily production paperwork
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

Candidate Requirements:
Mechanically inclined

RELIABLE ATTENDANCE

High School diploma or equivalent

Eligible to work in Canada

Ability to work steady 12 hour continental NIGHT shift (shifts do not rotate)

Work overtime as required

Satisfactorily complete training courses as determined by management

Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with our without accommodation

Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
