NOVO Dialysis Flatlands, LLC Hiring for Dialysis Facility Administrator Full Time

NOVO Dialysis Management, LLC, in partnership with National Renal Care, LLC is currently seeking a Full-time Facility Administrator to run our NEW FACILITY in Brooklyn, NY.

Scope of Work:

The Facility Administrator is directly responsible to the Vice President of Operations and the Medical Director. The Facility Administrator is responsible for the successful day to day operations of the facility.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory.

Qualifications include:

• BSN
• Current NYS RN license in good standing
• 18 months as an RN with 12 months experience in nursing care of a patient with kidney failure
• 12 months nursing experience in dialysis within the last 24 months OR 18 months as an RN who holds current certification from a nationally recognized board in nephology or hemodialysis
• 1-year previous dialysis management experience preferred
• Healthcare Provided CPR certification required
• Demonstrated ability to function in a leadership position and to perform in new and emergent situations with sound judgement
• Must have basic computer skills; proficiency in all NRC clinical applications required within 90 days of hire
• Must be able to organize time and tasks well
• Must meet any practice requirement(s) for the relevant state

Responsible to:

Vice President of Operations and Medical Director

Duties:

• Recruit, train, develop and supervise all personnel
• Plan, coordinate, and approve effective and efficient staffing to meet the needs of patients, while meeting regulations
• Plan and coordinate patient scheduling to assure timely acceptance of patients and effective staffing levels
• Establish, maintain, and submit all required records and s concerning staff, patients, and the operational affairs of the facility
• Conduct and/or participate in both formal and informal meetings with the governing body, VP of Operations, Medical Director and the staff. Assure that appropriate staff meetings, in-service education meetings, and team patient care planning meetings are held monthly. Assure that Qualified Assessment & planning meetings are held monthly. Assure that Qualified Assessments & Performance Improvement Program is current at all times
• Maintain effective personnel management and employee relations, including evaluating the performances of all personnel; approving and submitting all hours worked and counseling and disciplining employees
• Assure that the facility is in compliance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations and received continuing certifications from all statutory and regulatory agencies
• Establish and maintain a positive relationship with the area hospitals, agencies and the community
• Coordinate the functions of all departments and develop standards and methods of measuring patient care services, including a chronological record of services provided to patients as required by the ESRD Network Coordinating Council and Medicare.
• Work with staff to maintain chronological, thorough and appropriate documentation in the patient record of all treatments, activities and communication with the patient, physician and other healthcare professionals
• Monitor all contractual agreements; update as needed with corporate oversight
• Review all incident s; make recommendations and take action relative to incidents as appropriate; at monthly CGI meeting
• Strong ability to problem solve, analytical ability, effective communication, interpersonal skills necessary to work with patients, staff, insurance companies, government and private agencies
• Responsible for recruiting, training, developing and supervising all clinic staff

• Day to day work includes desk and personal computer work and interaction with patients, facility staff and physicians. The position provides direct patient care that regularly involves heavy lifting and moving of patients and assisting with ambulation. Equipment aids and/or coworkers may provide assistance. The position requires frequent prolonged periods of standing and the employee must be able to bend over. The employee may occasionally be required to move, with assistance, patients and equipment of up to 200 lbs. There is a two-person assist program and “material assist” devices for the heavier items.
• The work environment is characteristic of a health care facility with air temperature control and moderate noise levels. May be exposed to infectious, contagious diseases/materials and radiation. May be required to wear protective gear in procedure rooms for extended periods of time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $97,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
