My client is looking for an Assistant Management Account to Support the Management Account within the organisation.

The main responsibilities are as follows,

• Carrying out budget setting and monitoring processes
• Assisting in year end close
• Taking ownership of KPI’s that are assigned to the role.
• To carry out the prompt invoicing of internal/external debtors, using the designated AR system, resolving queries and ensuring that all necessary recovery action is taken; liaising with budget managers and Legal Services as required
• SAP Coding
• Provide all necessary information in response to requests from Internal and External Auditors in carrying out any reviews or investigations in line with guidance from the Management Accountant
• To deputise for the Management Accountant in their absence

Skills and Experience

• Experience of financial management processes within a large public sector organisation
• Experience of using financial systems
• Experience of year-end accounting processes
• Experience of budget monitoring
• Experience of budget setting
• Experience of Accounts Payable
• Experience in Accounts Receivables
• Ability to mange time effectively ad meet deadlines
• Experience user of Microsoft packages
• Ability to manipulate and analyse large quantities of financial & non-financial data
• Knowledge of Housing/ALMO finance
• Knowledge of Zero Based Budgeting
