Financial Accountant – Bella Vista

Nova Pharmaceuticals Australasia is seeking a Financial Accountant with at least 2 years of experience and suitable qualification (minimum Bachelor qualified) to join the business on a full-time basis. Salary of $77,000 + super on offer for the right candidate who is talented and competent across the skills and characteristics we seek.

Tasks and Duties:

· Month-end financial reporting – Preparation and analysis of monthly financial reports covering balance sheet, profit and loss, trial balance statement, internal management reports and cashflow statements.

· Complete monthly accruals, journals, fixed assets and depreciation schedules, and inter-company reconciliations.

· Perform accounts reconciliation, reviewing and approving transactions.

· Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow reports.

· Examine financial records for accuracy.

· Maintain adequate supporting documents for auditing purposes.

· Ensure accounting standards and policies are adhered to AASB.

· Maintain internal control on a daily basis and conducting internal audits as required.

· Proactively identify new initiatives that could benefit the organisation.

· Perform data and statistical analysis to establish industry trends and demand pattern to assist with forecasting and budgeting.

· Inventory Management – Perform monthly Inventory Item and Value Reconciliation, investigating variances, analysing different suppliers, and monitoring inventory movement.

· Liaise with freight forwarders and monitor freight cost of international shipments.

· Organise annual stock taking for year-end closing.

· Participate in the preparation of yearly budgeting, monitoring and performing budget to actual variance analysis on monthly basis.

· Assist in the preparation of GST and Corporate Income Tax returns.

· Assist in the preparation of year end statutory accounts.

· Assist other members in the Accounts and Finance Team as required.

· Train and mentor junior staff.

Skills/Characteristics:

· At least 2 years of experience in a highly relevant position.

· Relevant Bachelor’s qualification.

· Competency across the above tasks and duties.

· Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

· Proficiency in accounting softwares, highly proficient in MYOB.

· Professional at all times.

· Outstanding ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet established deadlines.
