We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Financial Accountant to join our dynamic and diverse Finance team for an 11-month maternity leave contract. Based in Sydney and ing to the Financial Controller, you’ll step straight into a fast-paced environment where you will provide a wide range of financial ing support to the business.

In this role you will support the Financial Controller in all aspects of day-to-day operational financial and tax functions. The Financial Accountant will ensure accurate and timely ing of station operation-based profit and loss and balance sheets, management of the accounts payable function and approval process and assisting in the budget and forecasting process.

Ideally, to be considered for this role, you will have the following experience and attributes:

• Appropriate degree qualification and either have or study towards a post degree accounting qualification such as CPA/CA.
• Demonstrable financial management experience, preparing profit and loss, balance sheet reconciliations, ledger maintenance and financial control.
• Managing accounts payable functions including payment and creditor set up approvals.
• Managing discretionary budgets for key stakeholders of the business.
• Demonstrate experience in tax compliance such as BAS and FBT ing.
• Work closely with payroll regarding monthly payroll payments such as commissions and bonus.
• Assisting with annual audit requests.
• Strong Interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and work under pressure.
• Ability and experience in working with a diverse range of stakeholders within finance and non-finance departments.
