NOV Inc Hiring for Logistics Specialist at Houston, TX Full Time

General statement of duties- Perform shipping and receiving duties including but not limited to: assist with getting competitive shipping rates, scheduling trucks for shipments, assisting operations team with field quotes, generating field work orders, prepare and package supplies and consumables for shipment and other office and warehouse administrative tasks as needed.

1. Assist with getting competitive shipping rates from corporate approve freight companies.

2. Working with the field operations team and assisting with generating field work orders.

3. Ensure that shipments arrive at their destinations on time and within budget.

4. Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, and prepare and package of outgoing shipments from the maintenance shop.

5. Process shipment orders

6. Process shipment documentation and inspect inbound orders for verification.

7. Collaborate with operations department to optimize the flow of orders from preparation to shipment.

8. Manage all international shipments from receipt of order to final shipment.

9. Assist the Field Operations team with generating field orders.

Requirements:

• Highschool diploma or equivalent required. Degree in logistics, supply chain management or similar preferred.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including, Word, Excel and Outlook.

• Knowledge of shipping industry regulations.
