We are looking for a Lead Nurse for Education and Practice Development to join our team at Nottingham Children’s Hospital. You will play a pivotal role in the development of nursing within the teams, embedding our Children’s Hospital Nursing Strategy in all that we do. As the lead for education and practice development in the Children’s Hospital you will bring your leadership and innovation to deliver our nursing strategy and be pivotal in developing our nurses, ensuring their are opportunities for all to develop their career pathways. Linking with other healthcare professionals throughout the services to ensure we provide excellent high quality evidence based care to all children and families.
Nottingham Children’s Hospital was Pathway to Excellence Accredited in 2020. We are proud to be the first Childrens Hospital in Europe to recieve this accreditation but more importantly what that means for the nurse that work here. The recognition for nursing development,leadership at all levels, and enabling our nurses to provide excellence in care.
As a Children’s hospital we have 119 inpatient beds including a Childrens intensive care unit, multiple specialities which provide both emergency care and tertiary services. We have a team of speciality educators and a preceptorship team.

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.

NUH will scan your ID and right to work documentation in to the Trust ID system at your face to face ID appointment. The system will run a check against the key security features within your documentation. The system will provide us with an outcome of your check which will be stored securely on your personal file along with all other pre-employment check documentation.
