This role sits within Accommodation Services and seeks to assist students residing in halls with welfare needs . You will seek to identify students in halls who are in need of support and assist them through practical problem solving as well as assisting reactively to new cases. This will include student meetings, liaising with departments such as finance, the relevant school and Student Support Services. A significant part of the role will be delivering an out of hours service, which will include assisting students via phone, email as well as visiting halls across our three campuses. This will be done on a rota basis as late as 10PM in the evening.
We are looking for someone who can understand the challenges students face and provide advice and solutions. Customer focussed, you will be able to work independently as well as influence others to assist. Experience working with young adults in this type of environment is desirable but not essential.
Interview Date: 7th of October. If a second stage is needed, these will be held on the 14th of October.
