We’re looking for someone to join our HR Business Partnering Team. We currently support a large number of diverse academic teams in the Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Law School and the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment, in addition to the associated professional support functions.
This position will offer you varied experience of working in a fast-paced HR team with the chance to further develop your skills as an HR practitioner.
In this role you you’ll network and partner with multiple teams as you establish professional relationships, ensuring contribution to successful delivery of a credible and customer focused HR function. You’ll be required to provide effective administrative support across a range of generalist HR activities, including the full administration of the Schools’ Hourly Paid Lecturers, External Examiners/Assessors and Peer Mentors.
Previous experience of using Microsoft packages, HR systems and experience of undertaking recruitment administration would be advantageous. In addition, you’ll have a good working knowledge of on-boarding processes and right to work/DBS legislation.
To be successful in this role it’s important you possess excellent time management skills, a high level of attention to detail and an ability to manage conflicting priorities. The environment you will be working in is invariably fast paced and therefore you must be comfortable managing demanding workloads.
We’re also looking for a real team player, with good interpersonal and communication skills and who is confident in their ability to adopt flexible/adaptable working practices. Possession of a formal HR qualification is desirable but not essential however, you should certainly have a demonstrable interest in HR.
