Summary: Oversees the education and training of all veterinary nursing team members. Works closely with management team to identify education needs. The Director of Education and Training is responsible for organizing and coordinating education and training that fulfills operational and strategic goals. Charged with establishing and maintaining the integrity of the education and training program. Conducts themself in a professional and polished manner, while embracing and advocating for the core values of hospital. Possess ability to multi task while delivering exceptional customer service to employees, clients, rDVMs, and patients. Position requires excellent communication skills as well as excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize.
Responsibilities
Requirement: A.A.S or equivalent in on the job experience with CVT. VTS a plus. Must have at least 7 years experience in multi-specialty hospital with prior training/management responsibilities
Job Environment: Fast paced environment requiring multi-tasking and working various hours to accommodate 24-hour facility. The Director will spend long hours researching, developing, and executing training sessions. At least 50% of their time will be spent sitting and using office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain. The Director will also have to do some lifting of supplies, patients and materials from time to time. Workspace is located in a reasonably quiet office that is communal. There are a number of deadlines associated with this position, which may cause significant stress. The Director will spend long hours in intense concentration in a teaching capacity. Also spend long hours on the computer entering information which requires attention to detail and high levels of accuracy. Travel to off-site locations will be required.
