About the role:
Based in our Brisbane CBD office, you will be joining a fast paced, busy team. You will enjoy operating with an appropriate level of autonomy, reporting to the Company Accountant, you will be engaging with staff all across our business.

This will be a pivotal role to help support the success of the whole team and broader business. At Northrop, our people are our most valued resource. Our Finance Team play a key role in the success of our organisation and our strategic and operational efficiencies. The team works closely with all Northrop employees, and our external stakeholders, to ensure accurate information can be provided across all areas relating to finance and accounting.

The Accounts Payable Officer will be a key support role in our Corporate Finance team. This position is responsible for providing an efficient and effective accounts payable service to all employees.

The impact you’ll have:

• Establish and maintain positive customer, supplier, and cross function relationships.
• Accounts Payable fortnightly Vendor processing
• Invoice batch payment set up in bank
• BPay and International payment processing
• Working alongside the Business Support team to process ivoices. Including final checks and seeking appropriate approvals.
• Keeping track of Aged Creditors report
• Credit Card Account Processing
• Assistance with TPAR Reporting
• Review of Asset Accounts and liaise with regions as required
• Maintenance of Depreciation and Asset Register in Xero for Month End Accounts
• Supporting the Corporate Finance team in actioning company reporting and month-end tasks.

The talent you’ll bring:

• Ability to work in a close-knit team as well as working autonomously.
• Previous experience in an accounts payable role within building and construction industry will be highly regarded.
• Sound understanding of Excel.
• 1-2 years experience of Accounts Payable
• Experience with high volume transactions as well as ERP Software is desirable
