JOB SUMMARY

The Talent Acquisition Specialist (Warehouse Recruiter) is a highly visible, bilingual (English/Spanish) role responsible for the attraction, sourcing, and interviewing of talented individuals for the distribution center, including the Warehouse and Transportation roles, through the use of innovative recruiting methodologies and tools while also providing Northgate’s excellent candidate experience. This role is an onsite role with travel to local stores near our distribution center in Anaheim, CA. The role reports to the Director, Talent Management with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the head of the Distribution Center. The ideal individual for this role will have strong warehouse distribution center experience, capacity to learn quickly, build rapid, deep connections store leadership, various stakeholders, and enjoys bringing in talent to the Northgate Familia!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conducts full-cycle recruiting and hiring for the Distribution Center roles (warehouse selectors, truck drivers)
• Partner with the head of the distribution center and Human Resources Business Partner to define and establish long-term talent strategy that may include, assessing internal talent pipeline, building external talent pipeline, and sharing career path to and from the Distribution Center
• Travel to local stores (10 miles radius from Distribution Center in Anaheim, CA) to conduct onsite job fairs
• Extensive experience leveraging technology to effectively source, recruit and interview (Zoom, LinkedIn, ATS, Indeed, etc.).
• Represent Northgate Markets at external networking and recruiting events to build relationships with potential candidate community
• Manage candidate pools to ensure qualified candidates remain engaged in current or future opportunities
• Create monthly reports on key talent acquisition metrics and trends
• Evaluate turnover trends in the distribution center to inform sourcing and recruiting activities
• Communicate regularly with distribution center leadership to ensure a clear view of hiring needs
• Oversee day-to-day responsibilities, drafting and submitting offer letters, I9 compliance, scheduling interviews, ensuring pre-employment conditional items are scheduled and completed, and onboarding new hires.
• Follow up with new hires during onboarding period to ensure an excellent new hire experience Identify opportunities to streamline and automate recruiting processes

Successful candidates should include being able to:

• Rapidly build deep connections with stakeholders to support relationship building both short-term and long-term relationships utilizing emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills
• Source candidates and/or identify populations of potential candidate pools and align recruiting strategies to attract those candidates
• Create reporting and tracking mechanisms to provide data insights to the talent acquisition team
• Navigate through applicant tracking system, HR system of record and vendor portals to support the talent acquisition process
• Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness in the recruiting process
• Manage multiple competing priorities is a fast-paced, transformational environment
• Communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders throughout the recruiting process
• Ability to travel locally up to 50% of the time (Anaheim, CA and surrounding areas)

RELEVANT EXPERIENCES

• One (1) year experience recruiting in a retail or warehouse environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business, Communications or similar discipline, preferred
• Bilingual Spanish/English required
• Operational knowledge of recruiting systems, such as UltiPro (UKG).
• Experience creating and managing metrics and reporting of data
• Strong analytical and critical thinking ability
• Customer service oriented with exception verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of recruiting operating procedures and practices, employment law and Human Resources
• Advanced technical skills in MS Office applications, such as Word and Excel
• Proven organizational/coordination skills with strong attention to details

Pay: $50,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
