Job Description:

Northern Star Casinos is looking for a Purchasing Manager to join our team. This position will be responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of a purchasing strategy to ensure the company’s supply chain is efficient and compliant with all applicable regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the purchase of raw materials, equipment, and services.
• Develop and implement an effective purchasing strategy to meet the company’s goals and objectives.
• Develop and implement a strategic sourcing plan to ensure that the company’s raw materials are in stock and available at the right place at the right time.
• Plan for inventory control and control systems.
• Evaluate and on the company’s purchasing needs.
• Maintain a strong relationship with suppliers through open communication.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
• Work closely with production, quality assurance, logistics, sales, and customer service teams to coordinate supply chain activities.
• Work closely with suppliers to understand their needs and expectations.
• Work closely with internal departments to ensure that all requirements are met.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of two years of experience in purchasing management preferred.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes in manufacturing industry preferred; or good understanding of basic principles applicable to manufacturing processes and supply chains.
• Ability to lead projects independently; meet deadlines; and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 – $25.00 per hour

• Elko, NV 89801: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Negotiation: 1 year (Preferred)
• Purchasing: 1 year (Preferred)
