An exciting new role has emerged at Northern Education And Training as the Head of Apprenticeships. In this role you will be responsible for leading on operational management and compliance of apprenticeships at Northern Education And Training in order to provide a high quality and consistent experience from the point of engagement with an employer to the timely successful completion for the learner. You will work closely with curriculum managers to monitor learner progress ensuring timely and overall success is above national benchmark and delivery is in line with contractual and internal objectives. The role will also require you to manage the apprenticeship admissions service delivery, online application, vacancies and recruitment of apprenticeships.

With a first class understanding of the apprenticeship landscape, you be able to demonstrate a proven track record of ensuring apprenticeship compliance and supporting teams to ensure that Northern Education And Training apprentices are provided with a high-quality experience which enable them to progress in their careers. You will also have proven experience of providing reports to senior managers, and leading, managing and motivating staff.

As Apprenticeship Manager you will support the Executive Team to provide management,leadership and guidance across the curriculum and to provide learning experiences which ensures high achievement for all students, through exemplary practice in learning, teaching and assessment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide day to day line management and support of all staff within the department. Manage the delivery and future development of the curriculum offer, in conjunction with the management team.
• Liaise with the Management Team to ensure the efficient timetabling of courses and the coordination of staffing, including cover for sickness and other absence.
• Work with Outstanding Practitioners and staff to lead on improvements to the quality of teaching, learning and assessment and the motivation of staff by conducting performance reviews, probationary assessments and other staff performance processes to ensure that individual staff teaching and learning action plans are addressed, improvements are achieved.

• Accountable for ensuring that staff meet deadlines to record data and information in an accurate and timely manner, including registers, assessments, quality reviews and standardisations, results and student progress.
• Keeping up to date with ESFA changes

• Ensure attendance process, withdrawals and transfers are managed both timely and accurately.
• Represent the College at internal and external meetings.

• Accountable for ensuring that staff within the department take responsibility for leading, supporting and coordinating course activities and support functions including partnerships and vocational teams.

What we are looking for:

• Qualified to degree level or equivalent professional qualification or willing to work towards
• Evidence of commitment to personal development and continuing improvement
• Post graduate Teaching / Education Qualification or Certificate in Education
• Minimum level 2 in Maths and English
• Proven and current Good or Outstanding teaching and learning practitioner
• Experience in planning and delivery of Curriculum across a range of programmes
• Knowledge of major curriculum changes and government policy in relation to curriculum specialism

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £28,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
