POSITION SUMMARY: Within the framework of standards for center programs and NEKLS operational procedures, supervises center staff, oversees center operations and assures consistent delivery of high quality, student centered services.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years’ experience working with young adults. A comparable amount of training, education or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications. Prior employment in adult, family or special education, secondary or alternative education. Course work or training in computer technology, internet, distance learning and instructional software. Familiarity with Northeast Kingdom culture. Detailed knowledge of center programs. Prior direct supervision experience. Prior experience in center-based service delivery. Demonstrates respect for and empathy with students and families served by the center. Demonstrates adaptability to organizational change and flexibility necessary to respond appropriately to stressful situations inherent in a manager position. Demonstrates knowledge of and delivery experience with current research and best practices for assigned programs. Demonstrates ability and experience in team building and successful collaboration with individuals, groups, organizations and communities. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
