We are looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Lead to join our award-winning Talent & Development team! This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract with agile working.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across emergency services and to lead a team that are delivering recruitment solutions to North Yorkshire Police, North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service and the Office of the Police, Fire & Crime Commissioner (OPFCC). Our Talent Acquisition team are passionate, forward thinking and thrive on providing a seamless & exceptional service for attraction, selection and onboarding.
As a Talent Acquisition Lead you will be responsible for motivating, coaching and developing a team of Recruiters & Administrators who are delivering resourcing strategies for both high volume and specialist roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop talent acquisition strategies to ensure the effective sourcing, attraction, assessment and on-boarding of a diverse range of talent
- Manage a team of Recruiters and Administrators to ensure excellent service delivery to both internal stakeholders and candidates. Develop and coach the team to reach their full potential
- Providing expert advice, guidance and support to a team of Recruiters and Hiring Managers
- Utilising market insights to support Recruiters with innovative and inclusive attraction strategies
- Work alongside Talent & Development colleagues on specific Talent Acquisition value added projects
- Working closely with our Talent & Diversity lead, to drive diversity and inclusion throughout the recruitment, assessment and on-boarding process.
Skills and expertise we’re looking for:
- A proactive and solutions focused approach. Continuous improvement ethos and leadership style that will encourage others to be creative and innovative in their approach
- Recruitment experience gained from either an in-house or agency background
- Proven experience in motivating and developing a team of Recruiters
- The ability to establish new and lasting relationships with key stakeholders across Police, Fire and the OPFCC will be essential.
- The ability to work with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
