Summary of Position:

The Human Resources Generalist will report directly to and work under the guidance of the Director of Human Resources and is responsible for performing tasks related to recruiting, onboarding new hires, provide support to area leadership in various Human Resources related topics, partner with and provide guidance to leadership with employee relations, provide knowledge and support with wage and benefits administration, training and support a positive workplace environment, administrative functions, and other related items.

Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Own the recruiting process from posting open positions, conducting candidate phone screens, scheduling interviews, drafting & sending offer letters, candidate communication, onboarding and orientation.
• Own the strategic aspect of recruiting and build partnerships with external organizations, strategically post positions and market the company brand.
• Assist leadership and employees with basic Human Resources related needs and questions.

• Ensure compliance with all Federal and State labor employment laws and regulations.
• Support leadership and employees with benefits related questions and enrollment.
• Resolve general employee concerns.
• Must be able to interface at all levels of the organization in a professional and supportive manner.
• Leave of absence.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (include but are not limited to):

• 3-5 years proven experience as a Human Resource Generalist.
• Must have strong knowledge and experience in Recruiting.
• Prior experience in Construction or Telecommunications industry preferred.
• Strong understanding of Federal and State labor laws and regulations and multi-state.
• LOA experience.
• Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
• Solid knowledge of employment and labor laws, wage and hour and Meal and rest period compliance.
• Analytical, process-driven and detail-oriented; ability to break down ambiguous problems, evaluate data and feedback, and creatively solve problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Problem solver and team player.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft and Google Business Applications (Excel, Smartsheets and Googlesheets).

Essential Physical Requirements (include but are not limited to):

• Standard office environment requiring sitting at desk with some bending, stooping, walking.
• Standard field visits requiring bending, stooping, and walking.
• Hours and Schedules are determined based on business and customer needs and in compliance with any regulations; on average – must be able to perform the above for at least 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, Monday to Friday.
• Some travel with overnight stay required.
