Housekeeper/Laundry Attendant/Resort Attendant

Lutsen Resort is Minnesota’s first and oldest resort and has been in continuous operation since 1885. Lutsen has been showcasing its picturesque location on the North Shore of Lake Superior for 135 years. Our resort features a private stone beach complete with red Adirondack chairs for viewing the lake that matches our historic red Scandinavian lodge designed by renowned architect Edwin Lundie. Exploring the grounds of Lutsen Resort also includes viewing the waterfalls of the Poplar River from our famous red-covered bridges. The resort features a fine dining restaurant, event facilities, spa, and golf course complimented by 165 lodging units sleeping over 750 guests per night making it one of 2 of the largest resorts on the North Shore both owned by North Shore Resort Company which prides itself of being family owned and operated.

Lutsen Resort is hiring full time, year-round Resort Attendants for both the AM and the PM shifts. Seasonal opportunity also available. This position reports to our housekeeping department but works throughout entire resort. Responsibilities include shutting down units to prepare for housekeeping, as well as hauling totes of linens to and from laundry. Shoveling, light maintenance work, pools, and cleaning daily facilities are also included in this position. Perfect for those who like a variety of work, inside and out.
The Resort Attendant is on-call to handle guest maintenance calls after 4:00 p.m. and is responsible for maintaining public spaces throughout the resort. Other duties include guest services, special projects assigned by the maintenance director, and some janitorial work. Shift runs from 3pm to 11pm. Ideal candidate is able to work independently and has the ability to prioritize and multi-task with speed and accuracy. Must be able to lift and move 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Perfect for those who like a variety of work, inside and out!
A valid driver’s license is required to be a resort attendant. This is a full-time, year-round position, but those interested in seasonal work are encouraged to apply.

LIVING SITUATIONS
We have shared housing. As housing fills it would go from single rooms to double shared units. The single units start at $500/unit/month and will go down to $350 with another individual. We also have a cabin we are trying to winterize but may not be able to in time for winter at $250/month.
