Tutor – Full-time:

Tribal TANF is looking for tutors to support the academic achievement program. We are looking to fill one (1) full-time position in North Fork.

Reports to: TANF Supervisor

Responsibilities: This non-exempt position provides individual and small group tutoring to students. This position assists students in improving academic achievement by meeting with them on a regular basis to clarify learning problems and work on study skills. Other assistance might include reviewing class material, discussing the text, predicting test questions, formulating ideas for papers, or working on solutions to problems. Tutoring is a supplement to classroom teaching. Tutors are not expected to know everything about the subject for which they tutor. Tribal TANF Tutor serves as school liaison establishing partnerships between parents, students, and schools.

Salary Information: G4-G5 2021 RUS ($31,520 – $45,847) D.O.E.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education – High School Diploma or GED with one (1) year of college.
• Experience – Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with students
• License/Certification – Active CA Driver’s License.
• Skill – Familiarity with Common Core State Standards.
