The successful candidate will support the team through providing initial advice and guidance on a range of People Services queries, and ensuring adherence to best practice and agreed policies and procedures.
Applicants should be educated to NVQ level 4/diploma level (or equivalent) or have relevant equivalent experience. Effective interpersonal skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively in a professional and helpful manner is essential. The ability to prioritise work and work accurately to multiple deadlines is also essential, as is the ability to work in a constantly changing environment. Applicants should be self-motivated with the ability to set high standards for themselves and others, and be fully computer literate with the confidence and enthusiasm to learn new IT systems which they will use for data entry & retrieval as well as basic report production.
They will have experience of working within an administrative role, providing a service to customers, and managing confidential information.
The People Services Assistant Advisor will support the People Services team by providing initial advice and guidance on People Services queries, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures and best practice. Initial advice will cover all agreed People Services policies and procedures and terms and conditions of employment and all employee groups through either face to face contact, phone, email or in writing.
The post holder will work in close liaison with members of the wider People Services and OD team in order to ensure continuity and provide cover for colleagues as appropriate, e.g. Recruitment, ESR.
