Associate Dean

Primary Purpose of Position:
The Associate Dean reports to the Dean and acts or presides in the
absence of the Dean. The Associate Dean will provide management and
oversight for Developmental and Supplemental Learning in the
University College and work collaboratively with the Deans and
Department Chairs of the various colleges and schools.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Doctorate degree or equivalent required. A minimum of three years
progressive administrative experience in higher education and
demonstrated leadership experience related to the duties of the
position.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Documented or demonstrated skills or experiences which verify
professional communication ability.

Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to provide leadership for
assessment of student academic achievement.

Evidence of skills in supervision and leadership role(s) or
activities.

Knowledge of and demonstrated commitment to student success and
retention work.

Knowledge of, or commitment to learn and use concepts and practices
promoting effective teaching and learning.
