Qualifications:

• 5+ years of payroll processing experience with strong background in multi-state and multi-jurisdiction requirements
• Undergraduate degree in related field
• Ideal candidate will have experience in ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll provider
• Excellent strategic thinker with experience thinking “outside the box” and making recommendations to help streamline processes
• Strong oral and written communicator with ability to clearly present data
• Comfortable with change and ambiguity, adapts easily to new situations · Demonstrates a bias for action & sense of urgency

Responsibilities:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for payroll preparation and processing with a focus on proactive support to our Team members across multiple states. Reporting to the Manager of Payroll and HRIS, the Payroll Specialist will develop impactful relationships with our business partners throughout the organization, ensuring trust and open communication throughout. Key responsibilities include:

• Payroll preparation and processing across multiple states and jurisdictions, ensuring accurate taxability and reporting to agencies
• Process Team member changes as they occur, including job and pay rate updates, job status changes and terminations
• Manage and update time and attendance system where necessary, including Time Off balances, requests, approvals, and exceptions
• Prepare and audit reports to ensure accurate record keeping throughout the organization
• Partner closely with Benefits Team to ensure accuracy and streamlined processes
• Assist Team Members with questions, concerns and feedback
• Review, audit, and correct system data to ensure accuracy
