Joining the Education Quality Assurance, Intervention and Regulation Service will give you an opportunity to be part of an innovative team that makes a difference to the education and safeguarding of children in Norfolk. Working in our Service will give you the opportunity to influence and provide support and challenge so that Norfolk children and young people receive the very best from their education. Be part of our ambition to be the best.
We are pleased to be recruiting an Elective Home Education (EHE) Officer, with specific responsibility for youngsters with SEND and in KS4. You will be part of the Elective Home Education Team which leads on discharging Norfolk County Council’s statutory duties in relation to children being educated at home. You will be responsible for providing advice and guidance to parents regarding provision of a suitable education and ensuring children are safe at home.
You will work with our relatively new team of officers and assistant officers, families, schools, other education colleagues, partner agencies and other Local Authorities as part of their advice and guidance work in supporting children’s education at home. The team is led by our forward thinking EHE Adviser.

You will be expected to understand what is meant by safeguarding vulnerable groups (children, young people and adults) and how to raise concerns. Experience of keeping children safe is essential.
If you have any questions about this post, please contact Catherine Boothe, Elective Home Lead Teacher, on 01603 303336 EHE Adviser, Services to Home Educators or email at [email protected].
