Through your ability to handle urgent situations with calm, tact and good judgment, you will play an essential role in taking various types of calls, ranging from telecommunication customer service calls to calls of an urgent nature to various public safety professionals. What your day will look like
In this role, you will:
Answer emergency-type calls and transfer them to the appropriate downstream agency or dispatching emergency responders (in 2022)*;
In the event of reduced volume, take a variety of telecommunications calls;
Make sure that the provided information is maintained private and strictly confidential at all times;
At all times, demonstrate tact and calmness to assist with the request.
Here’s what you need to join the team:
Be perfectly bilingual (English and French);
Be able to work on-site at our Moncton centre on all shifts and meet the requirements for working at our centres (criteria will be discussed during the interview);
Available to work full time according to the following schedule:
Monday to Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Being a 24/7 business line, you may be required to work night shifts (11:00 pm to 7:30 a.m.) depending on business needs.
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Active listening skills and ability to manage your stress levels to make the right decisions under pressure;
High school diploma or the equivalent, completed;
Advanced computer skills and ability to use various computer equipment and telephone systems;
Ability to type precisely.
What we offer:
A competitive salary of $22.75/hour (includes a Maritimes bilingual premium newly increased at $3/hour) from the moment you’re hired;
Hourly premium available for weekend work;
Hourly premium available for night shifts between 12:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.($1.50), increasing the salary to $24.25/hour;
Fully paid training and all the support you need to succeed;
